esp-ai Barista
An espresso coach that runs a small language model entirely on your Attaky — no internet needed.
esp-ai Barista puts a tiny language model on the Attaky Core itself. Tell it what is wrong with your espresso and it answers on the screen, word by word, with the next adjustment to try. Nothing is sent anywhere: the whole model lives on the device.
Highlights
- Fully offline: The model runs on the Attaky Core with no Wi-Fi, account or cloud service.
- Espresso troubleshooting: Describe a shot that runs too fast or too slow, tastes sour or bitter, or extracts unevenly, and get a concrete next step for grind, dose or yield.
- Streams as it thinks: Answers appear on the screen word by word, at about 14 words per second.
- Type or connect: Ask on the keyboard module, or send questions over the USB serial port.
- Stays on topic: Barista is a focused coach, not an encyclopedia; it politely redirects questions outside espresso troubleshooting.
How to use
After start-up the screen shows the coffee cup and "ask about espresso". With the keyboard module fitted, type a question in English and press Enter. Without it, open a serial terminal at 115200 baud on the USB port and type the question there. Short, concrete descriptions work best, for example "my shot takes 45 seconds" or "the puck is wet and soupy".
Compatibility
esp-ai Barista runs on Attaky Core. The keyboard module is optional and is detected automatically at start-up. Questions and answers are in English.
